As many of you may already be aware, our community lost a great man. Dr. Bennie King, or better known as "Flint" King to those of you who had the honor of knowing such an accomplished man.
Dr. King graduated from North Carolina State University Veterinary school and practiced at Oak Island since he opened in 1996. Dr. King was well known and respected not only in the veterinary community but in our community as a whole. Dr. King served as a board member on the Brunswick County Board of Health and HHS Advisory Board as its veterinarian member for almost 25 years. A dedicated veterinarian to his client's, patients, and team. Dr. King was best known as a loving husband, leader and friend to many.
In his spare time, he was an avid fisherman who enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. This man was a staple in our community and his loss will be felt by many. Please keep our team in your thoughts as we grieve the loss of a great leader, colleague, and friend. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help support our valued clients and patients, as this is felt by all of us. Thank you to those who have cried, laughed and shared great stories about his playful personality. Dr. King would want us to remember him and smile.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the quality of medical care you have grown to expect, please know Kr. King's leadership has provided us with the experience needed to help transition our veterinary team in its next steps
